Important onsite information to help in-person attendees prepare for the ASHA Convention.
We’re already looking forward to seeing you in Seattle! We'll be updating this page with more about onsite registration procedures, planning resources, policy updates, and other important know-before-you-go info in the weeks before the 2024 ASHA Convention, so be sure to check back.
Most activities will take place in these primary locations:
Most of the official ASHA hotels are within walking distance of the Seattle Convention Center. Free shuttles are provided to and from the convention center and the hotels that are not within walking distance. The shuttle schedule will be available in November.
An ADA-accessible shuttle equipped with a wheelchair lift will be available to transport attendees with mobility issues from the convention center to the ASHA hotels and to any official ASHA offsite event (i.e., ASHFoundation Fundraiser). Individuals who use scooters can use the standard shuttle service; shuttle staff will help stow scooters in the cargo area of the bus. To arrange for ADA shuttle service while onsite, call 1-800-523-4046 and allow 45 minutes from call time for pickup.
Check out the custom Visit Seattle microsite built just for ASHA! The microsite is an incredible local resource with tons of information to help you make the most of your trip to Seattle, like:
Plus, you can purchase a CityPASS ticket and save 46% or more on combined admission to five of Seattle's top attractions!
If you have a disability, as identified by the Americans With Disabilities Act and need accommodations relating to mobility, hearing, vision, or other areas while onsite and have not already communicated with us, please send an email to accessevents@asha.org as soon as possible. Requests received after November 8 will be fulfilled to the best of our ability; however, available resources may be limited, especially for requests made onsite.
The deadline to report the sessions you attend at the 2023 ASHA Convention for CE credit is Friday, December 13, 2024, 11:59 p.m., Eastern time. This is the only way to earn professional development hours (PDHs) or ASHA continuing education units (ASHA CEUs) and to officially document your attendance with an event report/Certificate of Completion.
There is a nonrefundable $50 fee to initiate an appeal if you do not report by December 13, 2024. Appeals are accepted only for 12 months from the published reporting deadline. They are adjudicated individually by the Continuing Education Board and may not be granted.
Plan ahead to meet Ethics and Supervision certification requirements. When searching the Program Planner for sessions you’d like to attend, note that you can see which sessions count toward the ASHA certification maintenance requirements for Ethics (enter ethics credits in the search box) and Supervision (enter supervision credits in the search box). Learn more about these newly added credit types.
Your safety outside the convention center is also important. Here are a few general tips to follow during your stay:
